The Tamil Nadu State Transport Corporation's (TNSTC) Coimbatore division has announced plans to reduce ultra-low-floor bus services in a bid to cut fuel costs. According to reports, the division operates approximately 165 ultra-low-floor buses in the Coimbatore region, which achieve less than three kilometers per liter in mileage, leading to significant financial losses for the transport division. As a result, depot branch managers have been instructed to streamline operations, specifically targeting late-night and early-morning trips.
