Speaking to the media on Tuesday, Patil confirmed that both routes will recommence flights in the coming weeks, marking a significant step toward improving regional air connectivity within the state.
The minister stated that the resumption is part of the state government’s ongoing efforts to strengthen air travel infrastructure across Karnataka, especially in tier-2 and tier-3 cities. “We are committed to reviving these routes to enhance business, tourism, and overall socio-economic growth in Bidar and Kalaburagi districts,” Patil said. He added that the state is in talks with airline operators to finalize schedules and ticket pricing, with flights expected to take off by the end of this year.
