Employees of Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC), the world’s largest contract chipmaker, are poised to receive a more than 30% increase in their annual bonuses this year, driven by an unprecedented surge in profits fueled by the global artificial intelligence (AI) boom. The announcement was made by TSMC Chief Executive Officer C.C. Wei during a company-wide town hall held on Wednesday, according to Bloomberg. Wei told Taiwan-based staff that the average profit-sharing payouts would climb over 30% compared to last year, marking a significant commitment as the bonus pool had already surged by nearly 47% in 2025.
