A 63-year-old Hyderabad-based advocate, Khaza Moizuddin, was allegedly killed in a targeted hit-and-run attack outside his residence in Shanti Nagar on Saturday morning. The incident occurred around 5:30 am as Moizuddin stepped out of his house to leave for a swimming session. According to his son, Mohammed Farhan, a green Scorpio SUV rammed into him from behind at high speed, throwing him nearly 20 feet away. The assailants fled immediately after the attack.
Moizuddin sustained severe injuries and was first taken to Mahavir Hospital before being shifted to a private hospital in Abids, where he succumbed to his injuries around 12:30 pm. Farhan, who is also an advocate, alleged that the murder was targeted and linked to ongoing legal disputes involving waqf properties. He claimed that his father had been fighting cases against the alleged encroachments on waqf properties and had opposed the privatization of three waqf educational institutions in the city.
