New Delhi, 21 June 2025: State-run power behemoth NTPC Limited announced audited financial results for the fiscal year 2025-26 on Saturday, posting a consolidated net profit of ₹27,546 crore, marking a 15% increase over the ₹23,953 crore recorded in 2024-25. The company attributed the robust performance to a significant uptick in earnings from its joint ventures and subsidiaries, signaling strong operational momentum across its diversified energy portfolio.
On a standalone basis—excluding the contributions from its joint ventures and subsidiaries—NTPC’s profit rose by 18%, reaching ₹23,162 crore in FY26, up from ₹19,649 crore in the previous fiscal. This standalone growth reflects improved operational efficiency, higher plant load factors, and better realisation from existing assets, even as the company continues to expand its renewable energy footprint alongside conventional thermal generation.
