The Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) has declined a demand from three students who were allegedly forced to remove their *janivara* (sacred thread) during the Physics paper of CET-2026 to hold a re-examination covering all four subjects. Instead, the students have insisted that a re-test be conducted for all subjects, and the best of two scores be used for ranking. However, top sources in the Higher Education Department confirmed that KEA has rejected this request.
