The Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas (MoPNG) has introduced a new policy to facilitate a seamless transition between piped natural gas (PNG) and liquified petroleum gas (LPG) for consumers. According to the latest directive, consumers who have switched to PNG can obtain a transfer voucher to restore their previous LPG connection if they relocate to an area where piped gas infrastructure is not available. This amendment aims to provide significant relief and flexibility to consumers, particularly those who are transferable employees, migrant households, tenants, students, and families shifting to non-PNG areas.
