A 12-year-old girl was raped and murdered in the Chadura area of Budgam district, Jammu and Kashmir, on Tuesday. According to police officials, the victim’s body was discovered approximately 200 metres from her home on Wednesday morning. The incident has triggered widespread outrage, with local residents staging protests and demanding swift justice.
The accused, whose identity has not been disclosed, is believed to have abducted the girl while she was on her way home. Preliminary investigations suggest that the crime took place late on Tuesday night, and the body was dumped near a water canal.
