The Supreme Court on Monday (May 25, 2026) sharply criticised the Union government and the National Testing Agency (NTA) for the NEET-UG 2026 paper leak controversy, issuing a notice to all parties involved. The apex court expressed deep disappointment over the recurrence of such incidents despite prior detailed orders and the formation of a monitoring committee. The bench, headed by the Chief Justice, termed the situation “really sad” and directed the NTA to submit an affidavit within three days. Former ISRO scientist K. Radhakrishnan, who led the monitoring committee, has also been asked to file a detailed affidavit in the matter.
