Bengaluru, May 25, 2026: BJP national president Nitin Nabin on Sunday launched a scathing attack on the Congress-led Karnataka government, accusing it of “betraying” the people of the state and neglecting development and welfare activities over the past three years. Speaking during his maiden visit to Karnataka since assuming office as BJP president, Nabin alleged that the state administration had been plagued by internal conflicts and had misused power for personal interests rather than serving the public.
Addressing a gathering during his two-day state visit, Nabin said, “The Karnataka government has deceived the people here over the past three years, betrayed the trust of the people, and because of their internal conflicts, public welfare works have taken a back seat.” His remarks came amid ongoing tensions between Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and Deputy Chief Minister D K Shivakumar, which have been widely reported as a “power tussle” within the state Congress leadership. Nabin indirectly referenced this discord, stating that the government had become disconnected from public concerns.
