The Kerala government has given a green signal to resume the road widening work on the 14.5-kilometer Neriamangalam-Valara-Adimaly stretch of the Kochi-Dhanushkodi National Highway, which has been stalled since July 2025. The decision comes after Idukki MP Dean Kuriakose met with Chief Minister V.D. Satheesan last week to submit a memorandum demanding urgent action on the stretch. This move is seen as a significant step towards addressing the long-standing issue, which has been a major campaign point in the recent local body and Assembly polls in Idukki.
