Bengaluru, Karnataka – In a swift disciplinary action, the Bengaluru South police have suspended six personnel, including a sub-inspector, an assistant sub-inspector, and four constables, following the recovery of gelatin sticks ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s scheduled visit to the city on March 28, 2024.
According to police sources, the gelatin sticks, commonly used in illegal activities such as bomb-making, were recovered during a routine check on March 27 near the venue where the Prime Minister was expected to address a public gathering. The incident has raised serious concerns about security lapses and the vetting process of sensitive locations ahead of high-profile visits.
