Tirunelveli District Residents Raise Concerns Over Infrastructure Issues

In a recent development, residents of Tirunelveli district have brought to light several infrastructure issues that require immediate attention from the district administration. This village is home to approximately 800 families, who have been facing a significant problem for the past five years – the absence of a functional bus shelter. The existing bus shelter had been damaged, leaving the residents with no option but to wait in scorching heat and rain for buses. This situation has been affecting the daily lives of the villagers, who are calling upon the district administration authorities to look into the matter and provide a new bus shelter.

In another part of the district, residents of Kottaram are facing a severe problem due to sewage overflow. The sewage from Kottaram is overflowing near Vadukanpattu Koondupalam, onto the Kottaram-Agasteeswaram state highways. This has resulted in a foul smell, causing inconvenience to motorists who frequently use this road. The situation is further exacerbated by the fact that the sewage channel is blocked, which has led to the overflow. The Kottaram town panchayat authorities are being requested to take necessary action and resolve this issue as soon as possible.
