Tehran, June 10 — Iran’s top nuclear negotiator, Mohammad Baqer Ghalibaf, told Pakistan’s army chief, General Asim Munir, during a meeting in the Iranian capital on Monday that the United States cannot be considered an honest partner in ongoing nuclear negotiations.
Speaking on the sidelines of talks in Tehran, Ghalibaf emphasized that Iran will not compromise on its core positions during the negotiations, now in their final phase, unless the US demonstrates genuine commitment and transparency. He reportedly stated that Washington’s past actions have shown a pattern of inconsistency and broken promises, which has eroded Iranian trust in the process.
