Indian film producer Vashu Bhagnani has refuted claims made by producer Ramesh Taurani that a legal dispute over a song allegedly lifted from Bhagnani's 1999 film 'Biwi No. 1' has been resolved. The controversy erupted after Taurani publicly stated at the trailer launch of his upcoming film 'Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai', starring Varun Dhawan, that the matter had been settled.
During the trailer launch, Taurani was quoted as saying, "There is no problem in this. Whatever we had has been sorted." He further added that neither the film's promotions nor its release would be affected, stating, "And whatever comes next will also be sorted. So, there is no problem. And it's a sub judice matter. So, we are handling it." However, Bhagnani has disputed these claims in a self-recorded video, stating that no one from the opposing camp had contacted him via call, WhatsApp, or any other means.
