In Uttar Pradesh’s Ghaziabad district, an elderly woman has received justice thanks to swift administrative action. District Magistrate (DM) Ravindra Kumar Mandar freed the victim, Chanchal, from illegal possession of her home by land mafia within just three days. This incident stands as a shining example of the administration’s sensitivity and ability to make prompt decisions.
The victim, Chanchal (an elderly woman), filed a complaint during a public hearing on May 29, alleging that Taj Mohammad, a resident of Pratap Vihar under the Vijay Nagar police station area, had fraudulently taken illegal possession of her home. Recognizing the seriousness of the matter, DM Ravindra Kumar Mandar immediately ordered an investigation by a joint team comprising the Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Sadar and police officials. The investigation confirmed the woman’s allegations in full. The accused, Taj Mohammad, had previously been jailed for illegal land possession.
