Aurangabad police have arrested two teenagers and detained a minor in connection with the murder of a 24-year-old man in Waluj, Aurangabad, on Sunday night. The victim, identified as Anil Yadav, was allegedly stabbed multiple times in a violent altercation, according to officials.
Police sources said the incident took place around 10:30 PM near a local market in Waluj. The accused, aged 17 and 19, were apprehended within hours of the crime after eyewitnesses provided descriptions and CCTV footage was reviewed. The minor, who is under 16, was detained under the Juvenile Justice Act and is currently being held at a remand home.
Investigating officer Inspector Ramesh Patil stated that the motive appears to be a personal dispute, possibly over money or a prior conflict. "The accused and the victim were known to each other," Patil said. "Initial interrogation suggests a sudden escalation that led to the fatal attack." He added that knives and bloodstained clothes were recovered from the scene.
