Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh – In a dramatic turn of events, a 15-year-old boy accused of murdering a teenager during Eid celebrations was shot dead by police in an encounter on Thursday, just three days after the crime took place.
On Sunday, June 16, the victim, identified as 17-year-old Mohsin, was allegedly stabbed to death by a group of boys in Loni, Ghaziabad, following a dispute that escalated during Eid festivities. The accused, a minor, was reportedly among those involved in the fatal assault. According to police sources, Mohsin and the accused belonged to rival groups, and the altercation stemmed from a long-standing feud.
The encounter occurred in the early hours of Thursday in the Daudpur area of Ghaziabad, where police conducted a raid to arrest the accused. As officers approached the minor, they claimed he attempted to flee and attacked them with a sharp weapon. In response, the police opened fire, killing the accused on the spot. Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) of Ghaziabad, Vaibhav Krishna, confirmed the incident, stating that the accused was involved in the murder and had been evading arrest.
