A new digital revolution is echoing on Gujarat’s roads, and its name is ‘Bharat Taxi’. This is not just another mobility app—it is a unique initiative that brings to life Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of “cooperation for prosperity.” Launched on 5 February by Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah, this initiative has become the world’s largest example of the convergence of technology and human dignity. The goal of ‘Bharat Taxi’ is to make drivers not just employees, but owners of the platform itself. According to Jaysh Mehta, Managing Director of Amul, this is a major revolution because in this model, 100% of ride earnings go directly to the drivers—no deductions. Today, ‘Bharat Taxi’ is emerging as the world’s largest mobility cooperative, setting a new global benchmark for the vision of “cooperation for prosperity.”
