Demand for electric cars in India is surging, and Tata Motors has responded by launching a refreshed version of its popular electric hatchback, the Tiago EV. The company has introduced the new 2026 Tata Tiago EV with significant updates, including fresh features, improved range, and a more appealing design. The starting ex-showroom price of the new Tiago EV has been set at ₹6.99 lakh, while its entry-level price drops to just ₹4.69 lakh with the Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) plan.
The new Tiago EV continues to offer two battery pack options: 19.2kWh and 24kWh. The larger battery variant now claims a range of up to 285 km, while the smaller battery delivers up to 226 km. Tata Motors states that the new Tiago EV charges 40% faster than before. Using a DC fast charger, the battery can be charged from 10% to 80% in just 35 minutes. The company also claims that a mere 18-minute charge can provide a driving range of up to 100 km.
