In a special operation conducted last Saturday in Jayapur Rural district, the police seized approximately 645 kg of poor-quality and adulterated cheese and destroyed it. In this connection, the Jayapur Rural Police arrested three individuals after inspecting a pickup vehicle in the Chandavaji area. The Jayapur Rural Police officials, who provided details of the operation, stated that two of the arrested individuals are locals, while one is from another state. The police detected unauthorized substances, including the chemical acrylamide and other adulterants, in the cheese being transported in the pickup vehicle. According to police sources, these adulterants have the potential to cause serious harm to human health. The police destroyed the adulterated cheese at a permanent location near Jayapur.
