Amidst the traditional Malhar and Sawan melodies, devotees and artists adorned the deity with garlands of Hingara flowers. The festival radiated festive cheer even under the grey monsoon skies.
The chief priest of Dhulendranath Temple, revered Swamiji Shri Madh Dhulendranath, explained the festival’s importance, saying, “Hingara marks the onset of the monsoon season. Through this festival, devotees remember the rain god and seek blessings for agricultural activities.” His words highlighted the festival’s spiritual and social relevance.
The event featured playback singers Sonia Rajput and Ravi Sharma, who sang soulful Malhar and Sawan songs, elevating the festive mood. Devotees joyfully listened to the music and offered Hingara flower garlands to the deity. Raindrops gently fell around the temple, adding to the festival’s magical charm.
