The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) is set to integrate artificial intelligence (AI) and data analytics into the Chartered Accountancy (CA) curriculum, aiming to enhance the profession rather than replace it, as stated by Charanjot Singh Nanda, ICAI's Central Council Member, at the LearnNxt Conclave.
Speaking at the event, Nanda emphasized that AI will serve as a tool to augment the capabilities of CAs, enabling them to perform tasks more efficiently and accurately. He highlighted that the profession’s evolution is inevitable, and embracing technological advancements will ensure that CAs remain relevant and competitive in the changing landscape. "AI will strengthen the CA profession, not replace it," Nanda asserted, underscoring the importance of adapting to new technologies.
