Every year, grand celebrations mark the annual festivals at Amman temples across various parts of Tamil Nadu. This year, in particular, the festivities took place over seven consecutive days from March 10 to March 17 at several prominent Amman temples. Among these, the Meenakshi Amman Temple in Madurai, the Kamakshi Amman Temple in Kanchipuram, and the Angalamman Temple in Walajapet stood out as major venues.
The highlight of the festival, the chariot procession (Ther Thiruvizha), was celebrated with great fervor at each temple. In Madurai’s Meenakshi Amman Temple, the grand chariot was pulled on March 14, drawing thousands of devotees.
