Udhagamandalam (Ooty), May 25, 2026: The 66th edition of the annual Fruit Show will bring curtains down on the summer festival season in the Nilgiris district, with the event scheduled to begin on Wednesday, May 27, 2026, and close the season officially on May 30. According to the district administration, this year’s festival calendar has been notably shorter due to the delayed onset of events following the Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly elections. As a result, two major shows—the Spices Show and the Vegetable Show—have been cancelled this season due to insufficient preparation time, officials confirmed.
