Kozhikode jile ke Anjarakkandy mein maujood Don Bosco Dental College mein Kerala University Union (KSU) ke activists aur police ke beech mein hui jhagde ke baad students ne ek hafte tak padhai boycott ki. College campus ke andar hui is incident ne strong protest aur public attention khicha hai.
2023 September 15 (Saturday) ko subah 10:30 baje campus mein KSU activists aur police officers ke beech mein jhagda ho gaya. KSU activists college ke management ke khilaf protest kar rahe the. Uske dauraan police officers ke saath unka verbal confrontation hua. Baad mein KSU activists aur police ke beech mein pushing-shoving hui. Incident site par police officers ne protestors ko control karne ki koshish ki, lekin protestors aur aggressive ho gaye. Police ne kuch logon ko custody mein lekar sarkari road se hata diya. Iske baad students ne is incident ko dekhkar protest kiya aur padhai boycott kar di.
Is incident ke baad college management ne padhai ke din badane ka notice jari kiya. Student unions aur KSU activists ne police ki action ko strongly criticise kiya. KSU ke State General Secretary PC Mohanan ne isko "police ki atyadhikar" kaha. "Students ke protest ko dabane ka try hai ye," unhone kaha.
