A case of alleged patricide has surfaced in a village under the Aurangabad taluk of Karnataka’s Kalaburagi district, with locals claiming the accused carried the victim’s body away on a bicycle. The deceased has been identified as a resident of Somanhalli village in Aurangabad taluk. Police have initiated an investigation into the incident, naming the victim’s son, Venkatesh, as the accused.
According to locals, the dispute arose over a land-related issue between the victim and his son, Venkatesh. During the altercation, Venkatesh allegedly killed his father, and later transported the body on a bicycle to a nearby forest before fleeing the scene, residents have claimed. Based on this information, police are now on the lookout for Venkatesh.
It has also emerged that Venkatesh had been involved in a quarrel with his stepmother. Locals stated that Venkatesh had clashed with his stepmother prior to the incident. Police have conducted a spot inspection of the area and are collecting evidence. The victim’s family members have also shared information with the police.
