Gurugram, Haryana – A shocking and heart-wrenching murder case has surfaced in the Manesar area of Gurugram. A man brutally killed his wife and then hid her body in the bathroom of his live-in partner’s rented room before fleeing with her. On Sunday, when neighbours noticed a strong foul odour coming from the room, they informed the police. Upon arrival, the police recovered the deceased woman’s body, revealing the entire sequence of events.
The deceased, Madhu (22), hailed from Hansaka village in Rewari. She had married Ankit Bhagat, a resident of Manesar, about a year ago. Madhu went missing on 21 May. Her father, Ashok, revealed that on 21 May, her son-in-law Ankit and his relatives visited their home and concocted a false story that Madhu had run away with someone after stealing all the family’s gold and silver jewellery. Suspicious, the family filed a police complaint immediately. As soon as the police began investigating, the accused husband, Ankit, vanished on 22 May.
