Veteran Bollywood actor Jackie Shroff is back in theatres in the lead role of his latest release, *The Great Grand Superhero*, but the film has opened to a disappointing start. With more than four decades in the industry, Jackie has played everything from lead roles to outright villains, even essaying antagonistic parts in films such as *Singham Again* and *Bobby Jaan*. Yet his newest outing, *The Great Grand Superhero*, has delivered a dismal box-office performance.
The film has managed to collect only ₹9 million in its first three days, a figure far below its set budget. On day one it earned ₹2 million, on day two ₹3 million and on day three ₹4 million, bringing the three-day total to ₹9 million. The number is worrying because, typically, films earn the bulk of their total collections in the opening weekend—precisely the period in which *The Great Grand Superhero* has already racked up its entire ₹9 million.
