In a heartwarming display of humanity, a 37-year-old woman from Karungalakudi in Madurai district has donated her organs, saving the lives of five individuals. Jeya, who was seriously injured in a road accident on May 20, succumbed to her injuries on May 22 at the Government Rajaji Hospital (GRH) in Madurai. Despite her untimely demise, Jeya's family members have chosen to celebrate her life by donating her organs.
Jeya was riding pillion on a motorcycle near Melur when the accident occurred. She was initially treated at the Melur Government Hospital before being referred to the GRH for further treatment. At the Trauma Care Centre of the GRH, Jeya's condition deteriorated, and she was declared brain-dead. Following the willingness expressed by her family members, the doctors at the GRH harvested her organs, which were then donated to various hospitals in the state.
