Varanasi Municipal Corporation to Build Fourth Approach Road Near Barari Cremation Ground

The Varanasi Municipal Corporation has initiated a new project to alleviate the increasing crowd and traffic problems at Barari, one of the city's major cremation grounds. The corporation administration has approved the construction of a fourth approach road near the Barari cremation ground. This decision has been made with the aim of providing convenience to the city's residents and devotees. The construction work is expected to commence next month and is anticipated to take approximately 9-12 months to complete. Barari cremation ground is one of the busiest in Varanasi, with a large number of people visiting daily to perform the last rites of their loved ones. This has resulted in frequent traffic jams in the surrounding areas. The new approach road is expected to significantly mitigate this problem, facilitating easier access to the cremation ground for devotees and improving traffic flow. Municipal corporation officials have stated that efforts will be made to complete the construction work expeditiously, ensuring that the public can benefit from it as soon as possible. Currently, there are three approach roads near the Barari cremation ground, but the increasing population and number of devotees have necessitated the construction of a fourth road. The estimated cost of this project is 5 crore rupees, which will be managed by the municipal corporation from the urban development fund. Officials have assured that special attention will be given to minimizing any inconvenience to nearby businesses and residents during the construction period. This project is expected not only to reduce traffic problems but also to decrease the time it takes to reach the cremation ground. In addition to the municipal corporation, local representatives have also appreciated this initiative, stating that it will improve the city's infrastructure and provide better facilities for the public.
