Srinagar, May 25, 2026 – In a swift operation, Jammu and Kashmir Police arrested a 30-year-old local resident in connection with the rape and murder of a 12-year-old girl whose body was found in Budgam district on Sunday. The suspect, identified as Mudassir Ahmad Mir, was apprehended after forensic and digital evidence linked him to the crime, police said.
