Pune, June 10 — A disturbing incident of mob violence has surfaced in Charholi village near Pune, where a techie and his wife were allegedly beaten up by a family following a minor traffic altercation involving their bikes. The accused, identified as members of the Charholi family, reportedly took serious offense after the techie’s motorcycle brushed against their Multi Utility Vehicle (MUV), leading to a violent confrontation.
According to police sources, the incident occurred on June 8 around 8:00 PM near Charholi village. The victim, identified as 35-year-old Rahul Sharma (name changed for privacy), was riding his motorcycle with his wife, Priya Sharma, 32, when the vehicle came in close proximity to the parked MUV belonging to the Charholi family. Though no visible damage was reported, the family members allegedly shouted at them and demanded an apology. Words escalated into a heated argument, following which the accused family members—identified as Ramesh Charholi (50), his sons Suresh (28) and Dinesh (25), and two other relatives—allegedly attacked the couple with sticks and iron rods.
