Muzaffarpur, Bihar – Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Friday inaugurated multiple development projects worth a total of ₹853 crore in Muzaffarpur district, marking a significant boost to infrastructure and public amenities in the region. The inauguration ceremony, held at the historic Gandhi Maidan, was attended by senior ministers, district officials, and local leaders.
Among the key projects launched were the construction and upgradation of 32 roads spanning 126 kilometers, the building of 14 bridges, and the installation of 12 new deep tube wells to improve drinking water supply. A new 20 MLD water treatment plant was also commissioned during the event, aiming to enhance water quality for over 50,000 residents. Additionally, ₹45 crore was allocated for the renovation of 52 Anganwadi centers, and ₹30 crore was sanctioned for the construction of community toilets under the Swachh Bharat Mission.
