Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Yogi Adityanath, organised a grand event in Kushinagar where he inaugurated and laid the foundation stones for 272 projects worth ₹424 crore. On the occasion, CM Yogi recalled Kushinagar’s rich history while reminiscing about its troubled past, marked by disease and the terror of mafias. He stated that earlier, Kushinagar was known for sand mafias, mining mafias, and jungle parties, but now the region is identified with Kush, the son of Lord Ram, as well as Lord Buddha and Mahavira.
CM Yogi Adityanath highlighted the developmental works carried out under the leadership of the Modi government since 2014, which have brought about a significant transformation in the region. He said that a new era of development began in the country after Narendra Modi assumed power at the Centre in 2014. CM Yogi mentioned that earlier, farmers in Kushinagar were exploited, and basic amenities like roads, electricity, water, and healthcare were absent. However, the region is now progressing rapidly in terms of development.
