Dharwad, May 25: In a bold move to press the Karnataka government for the creation of a separate municipal corporation for Dharwad, 12 Congress party councillors from the Hubballi-Dharwad Municipal Corporation (HDMC) resigned on May 24. The resignations were submitted to the Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) president Gauri and Arvind Eganagoudar, signaling a collective protest against the prolonged delay in fulfilling the long-standing demand.
