A Delhi court has directed the framing of corruption and conspiracy charges against two Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) officials, including a Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP), for allegedly compromising the integrity of investigations in certain cases in exchange for "extraneous pecuniary consideration". The court's order was made on Saturday, May 23, 2026, by Special Judge Atul Krishna Agrawal. The CBI had filed a chargesheet against the accused officials, including DSP R.K. Rishi, Inspector Kapil Dhanked, and Selection Grade-II (SG II) official Samir Kumar Singh, under relevant provisions of the Indian Penal Code and the Prevention of Corruption (PC) Act.
