New Delhi, June 12, 2024 – The Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) is installing new street lights across various locations in the Rohini area to enhance public safety and improve nighttime visibility. Under this initiative, modern LED street lights will be set up on roads, intersections, and parking areas in this key residential and commercial hub in the city’s northern part.
According to local authorities, the project will involve the installation of over 200 new street lights across an area spanning approximately 15 kilometers. These lights are expected not only to brighten the streets at night but also help reduce crime rates and make it easier for people to move around after dark. An MCD senior official stated that the project is scheduled for completion within the next three months. “Our goal is to ensure better lighting for Rohini residents and make them feel secure,” the official said.
