The Delhi Police have uncovered a sensational case in which a man killed his friend over greed for gold. According to the police, the case surfaced in the western district of Delhi.
The case began when the police received a tip-off that a man had been murdered in a locality in west Delhi. The police immediately rushed to the crime scene and launched an investigation. Initial inquiries revealed that the deceased and the accused had been friends for a long time. The accused has been identified as Rahul Sharma (32 years), while the deceased was Vikas Gupta (35 years). Both lived in the same neighbourhood and frequently visited each other’s homes.
During the investigation, the police arrested the accused, Rahul Sharma. Rahul confessed to the police that he killed Vikas out of greed for the gold jewellery he possessed. He revealed that Vikas had shown him the gold jewellery and mentioned he wanted to sell it. Rahul then hatched a plan to kill Vikas, lured him to his home one night, and murdered him. He buried Vikas’s body in a pit, from where the police later recovered the remains.
