New Delhi, May 29, 2026 – Chief Minister Rekha Gupta on Thursday announced a series of major road infrastructure projects worth over ₹8,500 crore aimed at easing traffic congestion and enhancing mobility across the National Capital Region (NCR). Speaking at the Delhi Secretariat, she outlined a comprehensive plan that includes the development of a 17-kilometre six-lane corridor under the Urban Extension Road-II (UER-II) Delhi-Dehradun Expressway link project, a 20-kilometre elevated corridor between AIIMS, Mahipalpur, and Gurugram, and an 8-kilometre tunnel connecting Shiv Murti to Nelson Mandela Marg, among others.
