Dwarka, a sacred city located on the Arabian Sea coast in Gujarat, is believed to have been ruled by Lord Krishna according to Hindu mythology. Recently, archaeological research related to the history and mythology of this city has resumed. These research efforts aim to uncover the true history of Dwarka city. The archaeological department, led by Dr. Alok Tripathi, is conducting excavations at various strata of Dwarka city. Although several archaeological research projects have been conducted in this area in the past, this time the research is being carried out with more sophistication using new technologies. The primary objective of this research is to identify the remains of the submerged city in the sea. Dwarka is also mentioned in the Mahabharata, which states that after the Mahabharata war, Krishna ruled Dwarka, and later the city was submerged in the sea. Through archaeological research, scientists are attempting to scientifically prove these mythological accounts. Previous excavations in this area have already yielded pottery, jewelry, and building remains. The Indian government and the Gujarat government are supporting these research efforts. In addition to the archaeological department, the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) and other research institutions are also participating in this project. Once the research is completed, new information about the true history of Dwarka city and Krishna's life may come to light.
