Two of them are currently receiving treatment at a hospital, while the third, who suffered more severe injuries, is in intensive care.
The family has expressed deep distress over the lack of assistance at the time of the incident. They have accused local residents and the police of not arriving promptly to help. Speaking about the ordeal, the family members said, "We have repeatedly sought help from the government, but to no avail. Is assistance only available to those affected by elephants?"
Forest Department officials in Kodagu district are investigating the incident. They have assured that measures will be taken to control the elephant's movements and have promised relief assistance to the affected family.
