An anti-drug awareness rally conducted by NCC cadets at a prestigious educational institution in Bhagalpur has been making headlines. Organized to sensitize the youth of today about the ill-effects of drug abuse, the rally saw participation from around 150 cadets. The event, arranged by the NCC unit of Krishnaswamy Memorial College in Bhagalpur, took place on Tuesday morning and lasted for two hours, starting at 9 AM.
The highlight of the rally was a march through the city’s major roads, where cadets spread awareness messages about staying drug-free among the public. During the event, the cadets educated the attendees about the dangers of drug abuse. Additionally, psychiatrist Dr. Sachin Kumar delivered a lecture on the harmful effects of substance abuse, detailing the physical and psychological damage it causes. He also urged youngsters to steer clear of drugs.
Speaking on the occasion, Col. Ravindra Pratap Singh, the commissioned officer of the Bhagalpur NCC unit, said, “We organize such programs to make youth aware of the ill-effects of drugs. Our aim is to ensure that drug abuse does not hinder the youth from shaping their future.” He also emphasized that NCC cadets are striving to bring positive change through community service.
