NEW DELHI: Prominent Ladakh activist Sonam Wangchuk on Saturday welcomed the Centre’s engagement with regional leaders but cautioned that trust-building in the Union Territory remains far from complete. Speaking to the Press Trust of India (PTI) after a recent meeting with a Union Home Ministry sub-committee, Wangchuk described the dialogue as a “positive step” but emphasized that the government’s intent would ultimately be judged by concrete action on outstanding demands and protest-related cases from 2023.
