New Delhi, 12 June 2024 – A 17-year-old boy was shot at an eatery in Amar Colony, South Delhi, late Tuesday night after a group of five persons allegedly demanded that the staff “finish fast, let’s leave,” triggering a fatal confrontation.
According to police, the incident occurred around 11:45 pm at a small roadside food stall on a narrow lane off Ring Road. Eyewitnesses told investigators that the group of young men had ordered food but grew impatient and repeatedly told the vendor to speed up the service. When the vendor requested a few extra minutes, the men allegedly became agitated and began arguing loudly.
Witnesses said two members of the group pulled out country-made pistols and fired multiple shots toward the stall. One bullet struck the 17-year-old, who was standing near the counter, in the abdomen. He collapsed on the spot and was rushed to All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Trauma Centre, where doctors declared him dead on arrival.
