The Uttar Pradesh Police have registered a First Information Report (FIR) against a woman and her daughter from Saharanpur district for allegedly staying in India without valid documents and having suspected links with the Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI), Pakistan’s intelligence agency. The case has raised concerns about illegal immigration and cross-border espionage activities.
According to police sources, the FIR was filed under several sections of the Foreigners Act, 1946, the Passports Act, 1967, and the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, 1967 (UAPA). The accused, identified as 52-year-old Farzana and her 20-year-old daughter Ayesha, were reportedly staying in the district without valid residential or citizenship documents. Investigations revealed that they had entered India on tourist visas several years ago and had overstayed their permitted duration.
