Wrongly Landed in Meerut, Tamil Nadu Youth Beaten and Robbed; Returned from Poland in Injured Condition

A bizarre incident has come to light in Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, where a youth from Tamil Nadu was beaten and robbed after mistakenly arriving in the city. According to sources, 28-year-old M. Gopalan, who had returned from Poland, mistakenly landed in Meerut. There, some miscreants, mistaking his identity, confronted him and assaulted him, stealing his belongings. Upon receiving information about the incident, the police initiated an investigation. The youth has filed a complaint at the local police station, stating that he had returned to India from Poland a few days ago and, after getting off the plane, mistakenly arrived in Meerut. Meerut police officials said that during the investigation, they are using CCTV footage and other evidence. They stated that the youth's condition is not critical, but he has suffered mental trauma.
