Delhi is set to get another major transport hub for passengers. Following the third Inter-State Bus Terminal (ISBT), the Delhi government is now preparing to build a fourth ISBT to further improve the traffic system in the National Capital Region (NCR). This project will not only benefit commuters in Delhi but will also directly help residents of neighbouring cities like Gurugram and Manesar. Officials said the terminal will be located in the outskirts of Delhi, providing relief to passengers travelling to and from different parts of the NCR.
A senior official from the Delhi Transport Department, while announcing the project, said the fourth ISBT will be constructed in Dwarka Sector 21 in southwest Delhi. This location is considered strategically important as it will provide direct connectivity to Gurugram and Manesar. Commuters travelling from these cities to Delhi will no longer need to change buses, easing their journey. Additionally, the terminal will be built near the Delhi Metro’s Dwarka Sector 21 station, offering convenience to metro users as well.
