NEW DELHI: Indian government ne industries ko stern warning di hai jo diesel retail outlets se khareed rahe hain. Reason hai differential pricing aur artificial fuel shortages create karne ka risk. Wednesday ko released statement mein government ne kaha hai ki petrol aur diesel ki “adequate” supplies hain current demand ke liye. Lekin, industry consumers bulk purchases ko retail pumps par shift kar rahe hain, jisse localized shortages ho rahi hain jo ordinary citizens ko disproportionately affect kar rahi hain.
Government ne industry associations se appeal kiya hai ki bulk consumers ko sensitize karein about in violations ke consequences, jinmein legal action bhi shamil hai Essential Commodities Act aur control orders ke relevant provisions ke tahat. States aur Union Territories ko bhi instruction diya gaya hai ki special squads banayein jo bulk consumers ko retail outlets se diesel khareedne par strict action lein, saath hi hoarders aur black marketeers ko bhi target karein. Yeh move tab aaya hai jab country ke retail fuel stations par shortages ki reports aati rahi hain, jisse Ministry of Petroleum aur oil marketing companies ne assessment kiya. Assessment se confirm hua hai ki bulk consumers indeed retail outlets se purchases kar rahe hain, jisse problem badh rahi hai.
