A major honey-trap racket has been busted in Madhya Pradesh’s Bhind district. The police have arrested four accused, including two women, who allegedly entrapped a 60-year-old farmer, recorded an obscene video of him, and then demanded ₹7 lakh from him. The case came to light after the victim filed a complaint with the police.
District Superintendent of Police (SP) R.P. Singh stated that the accused had initially contacted the victim farmer through social media and gradually developed an intimate relationship with him. Later, they recorded an obscene video of the victim and began blackmailing him. Upon receiving the complaint, the police took swift action and arrested the accused.
Among those arrested are two women who allegedly played a role in establishing the intimate relationship with the victim. The police are currently examining the seized mobile phones and other evidence from the accused. It has been reported that the accused had demanded money from the victim multiple times before he approached the police.
